Who would you rather?

As the recent presidential debate drew to an inauspicious close, I felt a myriad of emotions.

I felt a deep sadness for Joe and for the country. I felt a profound disappointment. I believed the debate showed clear as day that Biden wasn’t up to the job. I felt anger and I felt panic. And I felt fear. I felt the ground beneath my feet tremble.

I was both embarrassed by him and for him, and immediately began thinking of alternatives: Pete Buttigieg? Gavin Newsom? Hakeem Jeffries? Elizabeth Warren?

I was somehow pleased to see and hear my concerns echoed by pundits and even the New York Times. I wasn’t alone. I wasn’t being unkind. I wasn’t catastrophizing. My knee-jerk reaction was RIGHT!

And then I heard the Joe Biden I loved courageously owning up to his miss-steps and short-comings.:

“I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong.”

He didn’t play victim or blame bad preperations or unfair criticisms. He stood tall like a MAN and admitted to his embarrassingly poor performance and was ready to pick himself and start all over.

I saw and heard the Joe Biden I loved return to his old fiesty, self-assured and determined self, speaking of picking himself up and getting right back in there.

Now we each have to decide:

Who would you rather lead the country?

If you still have doubts, read Project 2025 and Agenda 47 — both available on Trump’s website, describing his plans for another term in stark detail.

Read those, and then ask yourself: Who would you rather?

As one Biden supporter said: “I’ll buy him a cane or a walker or a wheelchair!” While he himself made no excuses, no cop-outs, could it have been the cold he reportdly had? Or having preparers wear him down with overly detailed facts. Whatever it was, he was fully back on his game at a No. Carolina rally following the debate.

WHO WOULD YOU RATHER? A pathological lying bully or an honest man of integrity?

A misogynist and rapist whose own wife is embarrassed to stand with him? A “man” who Biden very succinctly described as having “the morals of an alley cat.” Ethically bankrupt.

Who would you rather have access to nuclear codes:

A convicted FELON who STOLE classified and Top Secret, confidential documents and went to great lengths to try and conceal them from being confiscated?

A man who led an insurgence in an attempt to stop the lawful passing of power to the rightful winner of the 2020 election . . . and still could not state that he wouldn’t do it again.

Is there even a comparison?

Do you want women’s rights taken back 50 years? Civil rights?

Do you want the constitution destroyed? Like a broken clock which is right twice a day, even a serial liar tells the truth when he says that if he’s elected, he will be a dictator “on day one.”

Do you want a theocracy? A theocracy led by the insincere bible-thumping — and selling — HYPOCRITS!! A theocratic AUTOCRACY. No longer a democracy.

The choice may not be ideal, but it couldn’t be more clear.

Would Pete Buttigieg, Gavin Newsom, Hakeem Jeffries or Elizabeth Warren also be worthy candiates. Perhaps, though none have the experience Joe has and the fact of the matter is that only Joe can make that decision.

We must trust and support him because if character matters, there is no choice: Truth and honesty — albeit stumbling — versus blatant lies, nazzi rhetoric, and treason. Which would you rather?
